WHY CHOOSE SWEET IMPRINTS - FINISH

Finish is another area that is of high importance. It makes the difference between 'good enough' and 'wow'! I don't like jagged, uneven and wonky edges under the disguise of 'rustic'. I like clean, even, smooth and finished edges. Any scratch or imperfection that can be removed must be removed. The whole product is what is looked at and the whole product must look great.

Below are some of the areas that are indicators of the effort that has been taken at Sweet Imprints to create a high finish product:

The tiles are evenly cut, shaped and rounded to give them a clean, smooth and symmetrical look. The prints are placed in the middle of the tile. The writing is clear, smart and coloured to compliment the rest of the tile.

 Lower quality indication:

The tile might be roughly shaped, without much focus on giving it a proper symmetrical shape or finishing the edges. The writing would be hand written, possibly in another colour. It would have only information value, rather than any visual appeal.

The whole of the inside of the frame, including the sides are lined in the selected frame background...not just the back of the tile.

 Lower quality indication:

Only the back of the frame where the product is stuck has the chosen colour background. The sides of the frame are left unlined and as a result a different colour. These are always visible when viewing the frame even slightly from the side.

Even, clean and straight edges for the tile as well as the mounts. This gives the whole frame a very clean and professional look.

 Lower quality indication:

Often the most importance is given to the prints and the rest of it is secondary. The tile has roughly cut edges and a rough shape overall.

Painting the tile reveals every little scratch, dent and imperfection in the tile. A great deal of effort and time is spent to ensure that the area outside the prints is smooth and sleek. This makes the prints standout even more.

 Lower quality indication:

The area surrounding the prints will have scratches, marks and maybe even dents which takes away from the look of the tile. It will give the tile an untidy look rather than a sleek look.

Jewellery pieces are evenly thick, evenly cut, well finished around the edges and the surface has been finished and polished to give an attractive mirror finish

 Lower quality indication:

The thickness might vary. The surface will have scratches and the edges might not have an evenly rounded look.

The casts are finished in a natural looking way so that there are no abnormalities visible. The hand has been smoothly cut at the arm and well rounded. All casting imperfections have been removed.

 Lower quality indication:

The arm might not be finished which would give it an unnatural crumpled look. There might be little bumps and dents around the cast that have not been removed during the finishing process.

Sweet Imprints aims for a 'Wow' as the first reaction from the customer.
